With much of the world automotive scene focusing on electrification, Kia has begun revamping its entire vehicle lineup over the past few years. With more and more electric vehicles (EVs) joining the lineup, Kia seems intent on replacing more ICE (internal combustion engine) models from their model range. Some ICE cars, like the compact Kia Forte have already been dropped after years of development by the South Korean car company. Others, like the small, boxy Soul await the final verdict as the 2025 model year comes into focus.
What should we expect for the 2025 Kia Soul in Albuquerque NM?
But fans of the segment-busting Soul can let out their breath as we can now report that Kia plans to retain the urban runabout for 2025. Styling will remain much the same, as the Soul got a makeover back in 2023. But consumers can also expect to see the rounded two-box design with a sleeker looking front end for 2025, with new grille, headlights, taillights and rear end that will be neatly integrated into the overall design. Combine that with alternate alloy wheels and different fabrics and interior colors, and the 2025 Kia Soul will look quite different than the original boxy Soul built back in 2008. One thing not changing is the Kia 2.0-liter DOHC four cylinder engine producing 147-HP, which will continue to power the Soul using a CVT transmission. This engine is already quite efficient using multi-port fuel injection (on regular unleaded) and is EPA rated at 29 city, 35 highway and 31 MPG overall as an ultra-low emissions vehicle (ULEV). There are also rumors of an optional turbo engine and twin disc clutch being offered on a performance model, but those remain unverified. The 2025 Kia Soul in Albuquerque NM remains a front wheel drive (FWD) subcompact, good for shopping trips and trips around town, Kia will offer four Soul trim levels (LX, S, EX and GT-Line) With a 14.3 gallon gas tank, the Soul has a range of almost 400 miles in the city or more than that for the highway! Consumers should also be aware of the industry leading 5-year, 60K mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and 10 year, 100K mile powertrain warranty. The Soul is designed to carry four full sized passengers in with huge cargo carrying capacity for a subcompact. Fold the rear seats down and the cargo carrying capacity jumps to 120.3 cubic feet. Up front, an asymmetric instrument panel, with either an 8.0” full color center display standard or an available 10.3” display greets the driver and front passenger. They can access Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and HD radio, with available navigation and XM satellite radio available in higher trim levels. Advanced safety equipment is standard in the 2025 Soul, with dual front airbags, side impact airbags and full-length airbags in all trim levels. This is in addition to anti-lock brakes (ABS), brake assist, hill assist and electronic stability assist for active accident avoidance. For 2025, the Soul is also expected to gain blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts as a further safety upgrade.
When will the models of the 2025 Kia Soul in Albuquerque, NM arrive?
Kia will begin shipping different trims of the 2025 Soul later this year, but there’s no real way to predict when the production line will change. Pricing is expected to stay close to the 2024 models, which started at $19,990 and went up to $23,590, but has not yet been finalized by Kia. The best way to stay ahead of this is to check out the latest new car inventory of the 2025 Kia Soul as they arrive at the Fiesta Kia dealership in Albuquerque at 7400 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
