Kia Soul is Far More Fun than the 2021 Honda HR-V in Albuquerque NM

Honda has a stellar reputation for reliability and resale value, and the 2021 Honda HR-V in Albuquerque NM keeps that reputation going. However, an excellent rival is the Kia Soul, and although Kia hasn't been around as long as Honda, it's coming up through the ranks of car companies, proving itself to be a real contender. The 2021 Kia Soul is a sporty little hatchback with lots of personality, that gives the HR-V a real run for its money. Let's find out how they compare.

Engine Comparison

To begin, both of these mini SUVs offer a fine engine for a subcompact vehicle, but the Soul's base 2.0 liter 4-cylinder outshines the HR-V's 4-cylinder engine in both horsepower and torque. What's more, the Kia Soul has another available engine in the Turbo trim, a 1.6 liter turbocharged four, that puts out 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque; go-power that the HR-V cannot beat. There's even an optional electric version of the Kia Soul!

If you love the peppy feeling of a stick shift, the Kia Soul comes with a 6-speed manual transmission on the base trim, which you won't find anywhere in the lineup of the 2021 Honda HR-V in Albuquerque NM. Other trims of the Soul come standard equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) while the Turbo comes with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic and a tighter, sportier suspension. You can trade the stick for a CVT in the base model as well.

Seating

Both of these spunky little five-seater subcompacts offer plenty of passenger and cargo room on the inside even though they're small on the outside. Maneuverability is at a premium in both and getting in and out of tight spaces is a breeze. Either car would be an excellent choice for city drivers. However, upon closer inspection of the two, the Kia Soul edges out the Honda HR-V, with a bit more room for back seat passengers and a larger cargo hold opening.

Kia Soul Interior

If you enjoy more color options than the boring basics traditionally offered, you'll love the Kia Soul's larger assortment of lively colors. With choices such as Solar Yellow, Mars Orange, Inferno Red, and several two-toned selections, the Kia Soul's personality stands out among all those silver and beige colored vehicles on the road. In comparison, the Honda HR-V only offers the usual ho-hum exterior colors, and less of them too.

2021 Honda HR-V in Albuquerque NM: Interior

The HR-V and the Soul are quite similar in features and amenities, but in the base model HR-V smart device integration isn't available, while it comes standard across the lineup of the Soul. You'll also enjoy listening to your playlists on the Kia's six speaker setup, whereas the Honda only supplies four throughout the cabin. Upper-level models of the Kia Soul come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and lower trims have a 7-inch touchscreen. In comparison, lower trim HR-Vs get 5-inch screens as standard, while the upper trims receive a 7-inch screen. Wireless charging is another available feature on the Soul but not on the HR-V.

Technology

An available suite of driver assist tech is offered in both of these vehicles, but the Kia Soul provides underpinnings that are a step above. In order to maximize the stiffness of the Iso-Structure™ frame, it's constructed of high-strength steel to ensure a safe ride at the first level.

You can also enjoy available comfort features like ambient lighting, an overhead console for more storage space, and a 10-way power driver's seat with the Kia Soul. While the 2021 Honda HR-V in Albuquerque NM has many storage options, it doesn't even offer 10-way power adjustable seating or mood lighting.

Warranties

Finally, there are two facts that may really influence your purchase decision. Kia offers the best warranties you'll find, with a 6 year/60,000 mile basic, and a 10 year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Honda doesn't come close. And with a starting price below $18,000, you can't beat the Kia Soul for affordability.

When you're ready for a closer look at the Kia Soul, give us a call or stop by Fiesta Kia. We're located at 7400 Lomas Blvd in Albuquerque, where we're ready to show you what makes this Kia a one-of-a-kind!

Kia reliability near Santa Fe NM: JD Power PP100

While several automotive rankers weigh in and cast a vote from anything from performance to infotainment quality, JD Power is a leader in the industry. The group's "Problems Per 100 Vehicles," or PP100, report considers Kia to be a top brand. Ranked third with a score of 95 PP100, Kia reigns as the best-scoring mass-produced automobile on the market. Beating out both Toyota and Buick, Kia reduced its 2020 score by an impressive 35. Dependability and value are certainly valued as high priorities by Kia.

Minor Maintenance History

Kia reliability near Santa Fe NM identifies itself by simple math and history. Considering all automobiles will require maintenance at some point in their lifetimes, cost and repair type sum up just how dependable Kia portrays itself to the car buying public. Considering what could go wrong on automobiles of the technological age, Kia holds onto longevity through valued dependability.

Rating Potential Repairs

Nothing measures reliability like dependability. RepairPal's Reliability Rating accomplishes just that. Presented for scrutiny, Kia reliability near Santa Fe NM was subjected to a full on physical. Analyzing historical data including repair costs, frequency and severity, a handful of Kia's soldiers were put to the test. The Cadenza, Forte Koup, Optima, Sedona, Soul, Forte, Forte5, Rio, Sorento, and Sportage all weathered the examination well. With a scale ranging from one to five where five is the best score, three of the grouping scored a four and a half. Not exhibiting inferiority by any means, the remaining Kia's scored a four. When contemplating the intensity and the high scores, Kia's reliability factor impresses and not faulters. Car Buying and Leasing During the Pandemic: What You Need to Know According to Car Dealerships in Albuquerque, NM

The pandemic has changed how many industries operate. From manufacturing to distribution, the automobile industry is one of the many that has had to adapt along with these changes. Perhaps the biggest change is the fact that cars are basically bought from a virtual showroom.

Most car dealerships in Albuquerque, NM have a carefully curated website that runs through the specifications of each make and model in their showroom. Only when the customer is seriously considering a purchase will there be an appointment booked for test-drives. This necessary evolution of car dealerships reflects the changing times in the car industry today.

Though this process is certainly different, it highlights how car buying can still continue safely. So for all you car enthusiasts getting your hands on the latest car is still very much within your reach.

Buying a New Car During the Pandemic

Surprisingly, car buying is generally holding at normal levels. You should still be doing research into the type of car you want and figure out the best car loans. An upside to the pandemic is that car dealers have had to put in more effort to bring in sales. This means bigger savings to your purchase.

Car dealers near your area could be offering attractive incentives and very reasonable loan rates. Many automakers have even gone on to include healthcare workers into their military and first responder discount programs. If you fall into these categories, it will be wise to look out for dealerships that offer these programs. Savings could be as much as an additional $500 off on your desired car.

Though the process to getting your car may be a little slower, the savings that are up for grabs make things worth it. However, if it is a popular model you are after, getting your hands on one may be more difficult. Long-term closure of automobile factories and delays in shipping has resulted in a shortage of certain cars. So if your heart is set on a specific model, act fast.

Leasing a Car During the Pandemic

Leases are contractual obligations between you and the leasing company. They are not subject to change and have to be made every month or you risk ruining your credit score and making all future car purchases much more expensive than they need to be.

Though some car manufacturers are currently offering zero down payment deals on some of their models, the ability to maintain a car lease must be seriously considered.

Buying a Used Car During the Pandemic

In the early days of the pandemic, used car prices were at an all-time low. With offices and most places closed, having a car became an unnecessary expense, especially since a number of people were suffering from job loss.

However, since those days, the prices for used cars have surged. Cars are definitely more pandemic-proof, offering more safety than public transport. Furthermore, as the average household income has decreased, used cars are now a more fiscally responsible option.

Used cars are certainly cheaper and many auto car dealers are also offering low-interest financing deals. Plus, Kia dealers in Albuquerque, NM also have several certified pre-owned cars. These are cars that have been used very gently with an insignificant amount of mileage clocked on the odometer.

Ultimately, car buying during these times has changed quite a bit. It’s important to stay up-to-date on news that may affect car manufacturers and car dealers. As with every other car that you have bought, it is important to do your research and make choices that you will be able to honour as time passes. Want to know more? Check out Fiesta Kia for more helpful tips!

Kia Dealers in Albuquerque List Surprising Car-Buying Facts During Pandemic

There’s no question that the pandemic has changed a lot of consumers’ shopping habits, especially those who were looking to buy a car. The need to visit several car dealerships to check available models and compare quotes was replaced with a simpler method of online shopping. Once buyers had compared prices and features, they then purchased the vehicle and picked it up from their Kia dealers in Albuquerque, NM. Surprisingly, many preferred this kind of less stressful process.

Here are some things to consider before shopping for a vehicle online during these times.

Everything can be done virtually now – except test drives.

The beauty of today’s digital revolution is that it allows Kia dealers around Rio Rancho to do business as usual without needing the customers to physically step into their offices. Statistics show that car shoppers prefer to conduct price research (71%), find actual cars for sale (68%), do model comparison (64%), and locate a dealer (46%) online.

Research also shows that 54% of car shoppers prefer buying a new vehicle from the comforts of their own home while a whopping 42% are even fine without a test drive. The overall process lowers the risk of contracting the virus and even allows them to ask family and friends about auto options.

Online car shopping takes less time than physically visiting a dealership.

Aside from the obvious fact that online shopping saves you from commuting to Kia dealerships in and around Albuquerque, it also helps you spend less time searching inventories and getting proper quotations from dealers. With just a simple click, you can browse through literally hundreds of vehicles without breaking a sweat. You can even apply filters that can help you streamline your search.

Dealers’ websites have filters based on brand, model, price range, trim levels, and optional accessories available to help car shoppers find what they are looking for. Shoppers can save as much as two hours from buying a new car online compared to when shopping at the dealership.

You need to sift through all the “Best Deals”.

Granted that promos and deals are not new to the car industry, online car shopping takes these deals to a whole new level. There are more unbelievable financing rates and incentives for car shoppers, making it easier for them to purchase the vehicles they want. For example, the average incentives have gone up from $3,773 in June 2019 to $4,121 in June 2020 while the sticker prices dropped to 3.2%. The discounts have also increased by 43.8% during the same period.

It has become easier to walk away from a sale.

Statistics show that the majority of American buyers dislike car shopping at dealerships because of stress and pressure. About 49% of car shoppers feel like they are being tricked into buying unnecessary extra features in car dealerships. Buyers often feel the pressure of making a final decision when the salesman is right in front of them. With online car shopping, it takes the pressure off the buyer. They can easily close the app if they feel like it without feeling remorse or guilt about taking someone’s time.

Online car shopping is still a work in progress.

Survey says that 43% of car shoppers prefer to do the entire transaction online. Despite all the innovations and developments, some car dealerships are not really equipped to handle a digital platform for their sales.

The biggest obstacle is finding the right technology to conduct an entire transaction online. Just imagine: there are over 13,500 car make and models in the market, not to mention the million variations and possible combinations of trim, color, and extra features. Each of these data must be inputted along with the critical elements in a typical car purchase transaction like pricing, incentives, financing and lease payments, taxes, fees, and downpayment among others. Of course, there are also the franchise rules and state regulations to think of.

For this reason, customer experience may be frustrating at times. So an immense amount of patience from both dealer and customer is needed for a car sale to go as smoothly as it possibly can.

The 2022 Kia Stinger near Rio Rancho NM Promises More

When Kia first introduced the fastback Stinger sports sedan in 2017, it was meant to compete with European and American rivals in this automotive segment. With its coupe-like styling, choice of rear- or all-wheel-drive, and a choice of engines, the Stinger is apparently succeeding in its mission, because the company has recently announced the reveal date for the updated 2022 Kia Stinger near Rio Rancho NM.

Having debuted in its home market of South Korea and also in Europe, the improved Stinger will premiere in America on March 16 at 1:00 p.m. ET. According to Kia, the new model will feature "more power, more technology, and a refined design." Exact dates for its arrival at dealerships has yet to be announced, but the second half of 2021 is quite possible.

Although Kia released a teaser photo, not a whole lot can be seen. However, we can expect similar changes as those on the Korean and European versions of the refreshed Stinger, which was sold as a 2021 model overseas. These include a somewhat modified grille, updated LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, and a new full-length LED taillight design with integrated turn signals that are actually 10 individual LEDs arrayed to look like a checkered flag. Top trim levels receive bigger exhaust pipes as well. There's a new black options package that adds matte black accents to the fender vents, mirror caps, and a set of 19-inch matte black wheels, along with a trunk lid rear wing.

The interior of the 2022 Kia Stinger near Rio Rancho NM will likely get new trim finishes and contrast stitching like what's seen on the Korean model. Quilted leather upholstery options seen on the Korean model will hopefully be available in the North American version. Many driver assist features such as adaptive cruise control and other convenience amenities will undoubtedly be included as standard equipment as well.
In-car tech for the GT-Line models replaces the 8-inch display with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen and an infotainment system that delivers faster response times, better graphics, smartphone integration, navigation, improved voice control, and Bluetooth multi-connection. A 7-inch digital display instrument cluster will now be available, while a 4.2-inch display comes standard.

2022 Kia Stinger near Rio Rancho NM: New engine?

Although the teaser press release verifies more power for the new Stinger, it doesn't state how much more. However, other sources think a new 2.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 300 hp will take the place of the current 2.0-liter turbo four base engine. As for the 3.3-liter twin turbo V6 that's currently offered in the GT1 and GT2 models, it reportedly will receive a boost of 3 in horsepower, bringing that number to 368. The bigger exhaust tips mentioned earlier are just part of a new active exhaust system, which can produce a more aggressive (louder) sound on demand. An 8-speed automatic is paired with both engines, but for those who long for manual shifting, the Stinger does come with paddle shifters.

Choosing a performance sedan may be harder than ever, now that the 2022 Kia Stinger near Rio Rancho NM will be better than ever, while still maintaining a lower price and better warranty than its competitors. Keep checking with Fiesta Kia for the arrival date of the new Stinger, and then make your way to 7400 Lomas Blvd NE in Albuquerque to see this masterpiece up close!
