2024 Kia EV6

Already a contender since 2022, not many changes are expected for the 2024 model of the EV6. It has a sleek design with a modern face, bold black wheel arches, and a sporty rear end with an aerodynamic spoiler. Two battery options and RWD or AWD configurations are offered in the EV6, with a driving range varying from 232 to 310 miles. With available horsepower ranging from 167 to 576 and near-instant torque, every model has impressive get-up-and-go. The base model achieves 0-60 mph in less than 6 seconds, while the top-tier GT version takes only 4.5 seconds! And when you use DC fast charging, getting the battery from 10% to 80% takes only 18 minutes.

Inside, a beautiful and spacious cabin provides heated front seats, room for five occupants, and 50.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the first row. Advanced technology includes push-button start, a digital dashboard, wireless charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a 12-inch touchscreen with voice command, and more.

2024 Kia EV9

This all-electric midsize SUV can fit up to 7 passengers and is one of the few 3-row EVs on the market. It, too, is offered with a choice of batteries and drivetrains. The standard EV9 has a 76.1 kWh battery producing 223 miles of range and a single electric motor delivering 215 hp. Want more traveling distance? The Long Range models have a 99.8 kWh battery that will go 300 miles on a charge. The horsepower drops to 201, but an SUV’s performance may be a lower priority.

If performance does matter, an AWD version delivers 379 horsepower and goes from 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds! The EV9 can also use DC fast-charging, achieving an 80% charge in 24 minutes. If you choose the second-row captain’s chairs, they and the front-row seats offer heat, ventilation, and even a massage feature. Fold the second and third rows to get 82 cubic feet of space to move cargo, or use the 5,000 towing capacity for pulling your boat or small trailer.

2024 Kia Niro EV

The new Niro has a bold exterior, seats five, and is now larger than the prior generation. This crossover also comes in hybrid and PHEV variants, but the all-electric model rates an EPA-estimated driving range of 253 miles and 113 MPGe. It charges quickly and offers different driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

The cabin is spacious and comfortable, with heated seats and an available heated steering wheel. Best-in-class tech includes a remote warm-up feature that lets you heat the cabin before you get in, along with many other features.  An available heat pump can extend your driving range under challenging conditions. A power liftgate and one-touch sunroof are desirable options, while the available dual panoramic displays bring touchscreen capabilities for connectivity, entertainment, and navigation. Although it’s a compact CUV, cargo space expands to 63.7 cubic feet.
