Check out the Rugged Kia Sportage X-Pro near Rio Rancho NM

Can you believe the Kia Sportage is celebrating its 30th year in production? That's right, this class-leading compact SUV was introduced in 1993 and has been offering exceptional value ever since. It's also come a long way since then, in both quality and innovation, and the  Kia Sportage X-Pro near Rio Rancho NM showcases those characteristics in a big way.

The 2023 Sportage has been completely redesigned, with a futuristic appearance and cutting-edge technology. And with a bold step into new territory, Kia America has debuted the exciting X-Pro trim for the upcoming model year. The Sportage X-Pro is a premium option with all-terrain capabilities designed to improve this crossover SUV's off-roading abilities and elevate your driving experience in many ways.

What’s New for 2023?

Everyone knows that first impressions are essential, which is why the company put so much effort into the new design. As with all 2023 Sportage versions, the X-Pro expresses its modernness with eye-catching improvements from end-to-end and top-to-bottom. The traditional “tiger-nose” grille for which Kia became famous has been replaced with a wider, cinched grille that covers most of the curved front end. Bordering each side of the grille are boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights with LED fog lamps below. A blacked-out, more aggressive-looking lower facia completes the look.

Moving along the body, the X-Line styling has smoothly contoured sides, molded fenders that enhance the overall look, and front and rear skid plates. The Kia Sportage X-Pro near Rio Rancho NM also has 17-inch Rhino matte black wheels encased in knobby BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, a two-tone paint option with a black roof, gloss-black details, and rugged black body cladding.

Interior Comfort and Convenience

Inside the Sportage X-Pro, you’ll find an equally well-designed cabin. With 39.3 cubic feet of cargo space, the Sportage boasts best-in-class cargo volume AND best-in-class legroom for the second row. Some of its standard features include a power tailgate, remote-folding second-row seats, premium SynTex water-resistant upholstery, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel, a Harman Kardon audio system that ROCKS with 8 speakers, a panoramic sunroof with power sunshade, 12.3-inch dual displays with navigation and Kia Connect (one for instrumentation, the other for infotainment), Bluetooth, USB Type-C second-row charging ports, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and wireless charging.

The 2023 Sportage X-Pro will impress you with Kia’s excellent DriveWise driver-assist technology and safety features, too. Some of these are Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Car Pedestrian, Cyclist, and Junction (intersection) Turning Detection, Blind-Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Avoidance, Driver Attention Warning, Safe Exit Warning, and more.

Kia Sportage X-Pro near Rio Rancho NM: Performance

With a moniker like X-Pro, you’d expect extra performance features, and that’s what you’ll get. Active all-wheel drive with center locking differential, multi-terrain drive modes, and 8.3 inches of ground clearance are all included to give you that extra edge for taking your ride off-road. There’s a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder that delivers 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, coupled with an 8-speed transmission to keep you going. Being AWD, fuel economy isn’t as high as a FWD model, and the hybrid Sportage gets the best mileage. That being said, the X-Pro gets an EPA-estimated 23/28/25 mpg for city/highway/combined economy, which is actually pretty good for an AWD vehicle.
